Secondary - RBIS

I'd like to offer you a warm welcome to the RBIS Secondary section of the website. We have a hard working team of teachers, support staff and admin workers who strive to provide the best education for all of our students. I have been at RBIS for four years, and it has been a pleasure to see both the school and our students grow. The well being and success of all students are two areas that I am very passionate about, and it is my belief that all students deserve the best education, support and nurturing.

We have had continued success with our IGCSE results, with an excellent 90% A*-C passes, which continues our upwards trend for IGCSE results over the past three years. This is a testament to the dedication of our Year 11 students and the high quality teaching.

This is the second year of our Sixth Form,  and we are pleased to have both returning students and new students as part of our growing team. We have been able to offer a pleasing range of AS subjects such as: English language, Biology, Mathematics, Business Studies, Media Studies, Geography, Art and ICT. Please take a look at our Sixth Form area of the website for more information.

If you have any questions or concerns, my door is always open.

About me

I graduated from Keele University, UK, with a degree in Biology and Mathematics and then continued on to study towards my PGCE. After graduating I worked at a school in the UK teaching Biology, Chemistry and Physics. This gave me an opportunity to teach a wide range of scientific topics at different levels.

Why you I like to work at RBIS

Since working at RBIS, I have had the opportunity to develop my Physics and Mathematics teaching to students at iGCSE and A-Level. Students at RBIS are so polite and hardworking and they are a pleasure to teach.

More about Mr Brougham

" As some of you may know, I am a keen sportsman. As a student at school and university I competed for many teams in Fencing, Badminton, Atheltics and Squash. Fencing however, is my primary sport. I have been fortunate enough to compete for the Great Britain U17, U20, Student and Senior teams at international tournaments around the world. Fencing taught me a lot growing up, it taught me how to win graciously, lose with dignity and most of all, how to work hard towards a goal. Whilst at RBIS, I am excited to be able to help students achieve their goals both inside and outside of school."
