Student Led Conferences (SLC)

October 3, 2024

Haila – Y9 (KS3):
"I really like the RBIS Student-Led Conference. You take charge and talk about your strengths and areas for improvement, rather than hearing it from teachers. At RBIS, you get personal attention from your teachers, which helps you aim higher and improve in areas you're struggling with."

Pookie – Y9 (KS3):
"The SLC helps students reflect on their progress and get targeted feedback from teachers. It’s simple to participate and beneficial because it provides a private space to discuss challenges and receive guidance that might not happen in class."

Ami – Y10 (KS4):
"SLCs are helpful for students, parents, and teachers. They build confidence, leadership, and communication skills. Discussing strengths and goals with my teachers and mom makes my academic journey more personalized and collaborative."

Lolo – Y12 (A-Level):
"The SLC helps students take ownership of their learning. It builds leadership, social skills, and strengthens the RBIS community by bringing students, parents, and teachers together to discuss progress and goals."

These sessions allow students to take ownership of their learning, while parents gain valuable insights into their academic development. We look forward to your participation in these important events.
