'Paws, Claws and Whiskers'. It is a Science-based Topic that involves identifying, observing and classifying animals. So a visit to Moori Moori Farm was the perfect opportunity to put our learning into action! The children began by mixing a range of ingredients to make animal feed - it turns out they did a great job, all the ducks, geese and chickens thought it was delicious! Then we met plenty of other animals - cows, goats, pigs, and rabbits for example. We loved handling the animals, stroking them, feeding them and getting to know them. Next, we decorated our own farmer hat to take home and enjoyed a delicious lunch together. Finally, after a busy day, it was time to return to school - but we will never forget our farmyard friends!
