Operating within the structures and safety of the RBIS Early Years and Foundation Stage (EYFS) Dept. The Lions Cub Playgroup has a dual focus on supporting the development and wellbeing of children and their parents by creating an opportunity for carers to meet and share experiences, and for children to play, learn and socialise.

The Lions Cubs Playgroup aims to provide a safe, welcoming environment and to:

• Offer high-quality, fun, structured, and unstructured play experiences for children and carers

and provide opportunities for play-based learning to support positive child development.

• increase carers’ knowledge of child development and early childhood learning;
• provide carers access to information and resources; and
• for carers to develop social and support networks and peer support

The nature of RBIS as a school is to offer a very personalized educational experience.

This means that we are responsive, adaptive and can focus on the specific needs of the group.

Time: 8:30-11:00 (Term times)

Schedule:

8:30-9:15         Welcome and Unstructured Play

9:15-9:30         Snack

9:30-9:45         Storytime/song

9:45-10:00       Craft/Art Experience

10:00-11:00     Outside/Inside play flow
