Secondary - Co-Curricular - RBIS

We offer a range of Extra-Curricular Activities. Our programmes offer enrichment activities as well as extra study sessions. We continue to increase the range of activities available acting on requests made by students via the Student School Council. Students are encouraged to join as many activities as possible to diversify their interests and broaden their horizons. Students at RBIS are able to participate in a wide variety of trips and activities throughout their time here. Normally these activities will take place after school from 3.00pm to 4.00pm.

Extra-Curricular Activities are organised by our teaching staff and local organisations to provide extension and enrichment of the official school curriculum. We are grateful to our dedicated members of staff who give up many hours in extra-curricular activities and are proud of the numbers of students that participate. Some examples of Extra-Curricular Activities that have taken place for the benefit of students are:

- Arts and Crafts - Swimming
- Thai Language - Film Making
- Golf - RBIS Goodwill Group
- Singing Group - Football
- Taekwondo - Robotics/Programming
- IGCSE Maths (Revision) - Photography
- Chinese Language - Volleyball
- Ballet - Kiddy Kicks
- Piano - Horse Riding

We are more than happy to receive suggestions for new Extra-Curricular Activities.

About me

I graduated from Keele University, UK, with a degree in Biology and Mathematics and then continued on to study towards my PGCE. After graduating I worked at a school in the UK teaching Biology, Chemistry and Physics. This gave me an opportunity to teach a wide range of scientific topics at different levels.

Why you I like to work at RBIS

Since working at RBIS, I have had the opportunity to develop my Physics and Mathematics teaching to students at iGCSE and A-Level. Students at RBIS are so polite and hardworking and they are a pleasure to teach.

More about Mr Brougham

" As some of you may know, I am a keen sportsman. As a student at school and university I competed for many teams in Fencing, Badminton, Atheltics and Squash. Fencing however, is my primary sport. I have been fortunate enough to compete for the Great Britain U17, U20, Student and Senior teams at international tournaments around the world. Fencing taught me a lot growing up, it taught me how to win graciously, lose with dignity and most of all, how to work hard towards a goal. Whilst at RBIS, I am excited to be able to help students achieve their goals both inside and outside of school."
