Why Choose RBIS? - RBIS

RBIS Rasami British International School is proud to educate children; proud to promote academic achievements and proud to place learning at the heart of all that we do. Our Cambridge International Examinations (CIE) International General Certificate in Secondary Education (IGCSE) are consistently above the UK average and many other international schools. RBIS offers a wide range of IGCSE options and an A level programme which would enable students to choose to study in the UK, US, Australia, Thailand or in fact many countries around the world. However, that is only part of the story!

Children need to be nurtured throughout their education and this begins in their early years in nursery and throughout their journey through school.

“RBIS ensures that pupils achieve well and that their personal development is outstanding. Pupils have excellent attitudes to learning. Pupil-confidence, self-esteem and excellent behaviour are promoted very well. Pupils want to do well and enjoy helping one another. Pupils work very hard and show real commitment to success; they develop into sensible and caring members of society.

The school has a good curriculum that is imaginative and well planned. It provides a wide variety of cross-curricular projects that help pupils to use skills and knowledge across a range of subjects and so understand their relevance. RBIS teachers draw upon relevant aspects of the world beyond school, plan well-structured lessons to meet clear objectives, and help pupils make meaningful connections between their learning and the real world.

A wide range of extra-curricular activities, benefitting from the enthusiasm and commitment of teachers and other adults, enable pupils to extend their learning and interests.

As one parent said of the school’s welcoming ethos, “My son found himself here.” The school’s partnership with parents and the community is outstanding.”

About me

I graduated from Keele University, UK, with a degree in Biology and Mathematics and then continued on to study towards my PGCE. After graduating I worked at a school in the UK teaching Biology, Chemistry and Physics. This gave me an opportunity to teach a wide range of scientific topics at different levels.

Why you I like to work at RBIS

Since working at RBIS, I have had the opportunity to develop my Physics and Mathematics teaching to students at iGCSE and A-Level. Students at RBIS are so polite and hardworking and they are a pleasure to teach.

More about Mr Brougham

" As some of you may know, I am a keen sportsman. As a student at school and university I competed for many teams in Fencing, Badminton, Atheltics and Squash. Fencing however, is my primary sport. I have been fortunate enough to compete for the Great Britain U17, U20, Student and Senior teams at international tournaments around the world. Fencing taught me a lot growing up, it taught me how to win graciously, lose with dignity and most of all, how to work hard towards a goal. Whilst at RBIS, I am excited to be able to help students achieve their goals both inside and outside of school."
