We heard the word ‘growth mindset’ many times. But what it is actually and how we can cultivate and create that in our children.
Mindset is how we perceive our abilities. If we think of ourselves as a person with few abilities, then it is unlikely that we will aspire for a bigger ambition and success. Surely this is not what we want for ourselves and our children. The mindset that our children have, plays a key role in their motivation and achievement. Children with a growth mindset are likely to be more determined to succeed and outperformed those with a fixed mindset who believed that their intelligence and abilities can never change. A happy and successful adult needs to have a growth mindset. People with a growth mindset understand that we can be an agent of change and things can change for the better. Intelligence can be developed, skills can be learnt, and new knowledge can be acquired. We, as human beings; an intelligent specie can solve problems and improve situations.
