Employment Opportunities - RBIS

Overview

RBIS Rasami British International School, established in 1971, is a dynamic, caring, co-educational independent school catering for approximately 200 children aged 18 months to 18 years from twenty-four different countries. The school comprises two campuses, each with its own Head of School: Early Years and Primary, and Secondary. We offer the English National Curriculum in Key Stages 1 to 5, including Cambridge International GCSEs in KS4 and the Cambridge International AS and A2 qualifications in KS5.

We are located in the capital city of Thailand, which is a large, bustling, cosmopolitan metropolis. However, we are situated in a quiet central suburb close to many cultural and historical attractions. Bangkok is a major hub for transportation to all areas of Thailand, South East Asia and further afield. Please see www.bangkok.com and www.bangkoktourist.com.  Thailand is a much more affordable country than many, compare the cost of living in Bangkok to other cities here.

Teaching Environment

We enjoy the benefits of a diverse, lively and hard working learning community. Continued Professional Development (CPD) has a high profile, led by a Senior Teacher, across all parts of the school. Training in areas of teaching and learning, technology and pedagogy is provided in-house by our educators, as well as a range of external providers. We are also keen to hear from and will consider supporting individuals who are considering other methods of CPD which will enhance and extend teaching, learning and our curriculum delivery.

We are always keen to hear from colleagues who are enthusiastic about contributing to a world-class professional community in our forward-thinking school.

About me

I graduated from Keele University, UK, with a degree in Biology and Mathematics and then continued on to study towards my PGCE. After graduating I worked at a school in the UK teaching Biology, Chemistry and Physics. This gave me an opportunity to teach a wide range of scientific topics at different levels.

Why you I like to work at RBIS

Since working at RBIS, I have had the opportunity to develop my Physics and Mathematics teaching to students at iGCSE and A-Level. Students at RBIS are so polite and hardworking and they are a pleasure to teach.

More about Mr Brougham

" As some of you may know, I am a keen sportsman. As a student at school and university I competed for many teams in Fencing, Badminton, Atheltics and Squash. Fencing however, is my primary sport. I have been fortunate enough to compete for the Great Britain U17, U20, Student and Senior teams at international tournaments around the world. Fencing taught me a lot growing up, it taught me how to win graciously, lose with dignity and most of all, how to work hard towards a goal. Whilst at RBIS, I am excited to be able to help students achieve their goals both inside and outside of school."
