Anti Bullying week Secondary - RBIS

Anti Bullying week

On Friday 20th November, we held a bake sale to raise money for the Anti-Bullying Alliance. The Anti-Bullying Alliance raises money to support young people whose lives have been seriously impacted by bullying.
We had a team of Year 10-13 students who helped to bake the cookies and showed kindness and consideration in their contributions. We are promoting anti-bullying because we value kindness, inclusion and community, which we believe our students consistently demonstrate. This is an initiative that many schools around the world promote within the schools and RBIS is one of many schools who stands together against bullying.
So far we have raised just over 2,000 baht and we still have some cookies left to sell today.
Thank you to our students for their contributions to both buying the cookies and those who make the delicious baked goods.

During assembly time on Jameena, Earth, Gigi and Mai from Years 12 and 13 talked about the importance of Armistice Day and Remembrance Sunday. Throughout the day students and staff wore paper poppies sixth form students had made and at the end of the presentation a 2 minute silence was observed to remember those who died during wars.

About me

I graduated from Keele University, UK, with a degree in Biology and Mathematics and then continued on to study towards my PGCE. After graduating I worked at a school in the UK teaching Biology, Chemistry and Physics. This gave me an opportunity to teach a wide range of scientific topics at different levels.

Why you I like to work at RBIS

Since working at RBIS, I have had the opportunity to develop my Physics and Mathematics teaching to students at iGCSE and A-Level. Students at RBIS are so polite and hardworking and they are a pleasure to teach.

More about Mr Brougham

" As some of you may know, I am a keen sportsman. As a student at school and university I competed for many teams in Fencing, Badminton, Atheltics and Squash. Fencing however, is my primary sport. I have been fortunate enough to compete for the Great Britain U17, U20, Student and Senior teams at international tournaments around the world. Fencing taught me a lot growing up, it taught me how to win graciously, lose with dignity and most of all, how to work hard towards a goal. Whilst at RBIS, I am excited to be able to help students achieve their goals both inside and outside of school."
